With any concrete floor restoration project, surface preparation is key. This is especially true when it comes to airplane hanger floor refurbishment. Our team of surface preparation specialists starts by removing any existing coating and a thin layer of concrete by shot blasting the surface. Shot blasting strips the old surface coating, breaks up loose concrete, and profiles the surface with a slightly textured surface that improves bonding and adhesion of the coating product.
It sounds messy-but it’s not. The entire process takes place within a sealed chamber at the base of the machine. The stainless steel shot is recycled within the machine while the debris is vacuumed away into a chamber for disposal. The process produces very little airborne dust, which makes it ideal for many manufacturing and processing facilities.
We then, fill and seal any cracks in the concrete, smooth the entire surface and coat with the highest quality products in the industry.
If you have an airplane hanger in New England that needs refurbishment, don’t hesitate. Trust Advanced Prep-Coat, Inc. to get the job done right, on time and on budget.
